"Kayak my heart out"
Hi, my name is Canon Larsen. For the final year at my school, Raphael House, all the class twelve students take on a year-long project and then give a presentation to the community on whatever they did. It is a major part of the year for Class 12 and we have to do this project alongside the usual academic demands of NCEA year 13.
For my project I have decided to paddle Raukawa Moana, the Cook Strait. My first thought for the project last year was circumnavigating the North Island; this would take three months of constant paddling to accomplish. Not being able to take that sort of time out of school, the next logical step in my brain was to do the crossing.
Time is ticking and I only have a few dates left to succeed! I have been supported by some amazing people and now all I need is a support boat for safety. if you can help, please contact me.
